AQUA Art Miami - Orlando Call to Artists 2018
The Downtown Arts District is happy to announce that it is accepting artist submissions for AQUA Art Miami 2018 through midnight of July 2.

Please read the submission requirements entirely before "submitting". Pay the submission fee using the PayPal button below.

1. OVERVIEW
Selected works will be shown at AQUA Art Miami (pending the fairs acceptance) from December 5-9, 2018. Submissions will be accepted through Midnight of July 2, 2018. Artwork will be selected by a Jury Panel. Artists will be notified no later than July 12, 2018. Artists selected will be invited to exhibit on July 19 – August 11 at the AQUA Preview Show in Downtown, Orlando, where the final selection and invitation will be announced. Submission fees are as follows: there is a $30 submission fee for up to five images. Payment accepted via PayPal, with the option to pay using a debit/credit card. The $30 entry fee does not guarantee a place in the event. The fee is for processing and administration of the submission. This fee is non-refundable.

Accepted artists will be required to pay a nominal participation fee of $125. Artists are not required to be present at the fair. However, if they wish to attend, travel arrangements are their responsibility.

If selected art submissions sell prior to the fair, similar artwork will be expected to be produced.

2. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all artists living or working in Central Florida. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, animation, installation art, and digital are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

3. INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS & RESTRICTIONS
Wall mounted works must not be taller than 36" and no wider than 24". Sculptural works must fit through a standard entry door, and pedestal must be provided by the artist and approved by the committee prior to the event. Installations can be larger than this but must be able to fit through the door. If the artwork is larger than the specs provided, please contact us.

4. IMAGE FORMAT FOR SUBMISSIONS
Artwork is accepted via online submission in the form below. The format for uploading images is as follows: 72 dpi, .jpg format, no larger than 1mb each. Please name files as follows: yourname_artworkname_1.jpg, yourname_artworkname_2.jpg etc.

5. ENTRY FEE
There is a $30 entry fee for up to five images. Payment is accepted via Pay Pal. Cash may be accepted but must be handled in person. The $30 entry fee does not guarantee a place in the event. The fee is for processing and administration of the submission. This fee is non-refundable.

6. DEADLINE
The final deadline for submissions is July 2, 2018 at 11:59 P.M..

7. NOTIFICATION
Acceptance or non-acceptance will be no later than July 12 by email.

8. JURY PANEL
Flynn Dobbs, Donna Dowless, Shanon Fitzgerald, Pat Greene, Theo Lotts, Alya Poplawsky and Tiffany Sanders have been invited to participate on the jury panel.

9. COMMISSION
There will be a 50% commission on any sales made during the exhibition. Downtown Arts District’s fair staff will handle all sales.
