Call to Artist: Pop-Up Gallery at The Center for Health & Wellbeing

Center for Health & Wellbeing
2005 Mizel Ave
Winter Park, FL 32792

The Center for Health and Wellbeing is a place where wholeness, fitness, and medicine come together to help achieve optimal whole-person health.  Our facility, which houses a physical fitness center, physician offices, café, child drop-off area and community conference rooms, was designed with the idea that a person’s health is more than a person’s blood pressure and heart rate.  We focus on Seven Dimensions of Wellbeing and strive to provide experience and education for the community that will strengthen each area.  Toward that goal, our Community Conference Center offers monthly programming ranging from cooking classes to bird watching to lecture series on healthy aging.

As part of this programming, we would like to invite local artists to show their work in a stand-alone pop-up gallery in our Healthy Living Experience - a large open space, open to the Center’s foot traffic and curious visitors.  We would like to rotate artwork to represent our monthly educational themes.

We have the following themes planned for Spring 2020:
February – Heart Health (subjects could include hearts, flowers, people in modest embrace, etc.)
March – Nutrition (food still lives, families eating together, fields of produce or flowers etc.)
April – Stress Awareness (tranquil scenery, calm colors, etc.)
Comments in parentheses are suggestions only - we are open to your creativity!

Although there is not financial compensation for showing in our gallery, we hope that artists will see the benefit of sharing their work with the 20,000 community members who visit the Center each month.
