Several members have reported receiving identical email messages from Pat Bock and Eve Johnson, see below. This is a potential fraud. Do not reply to them. This has the same language structure as many other scams I have seen. Currently they do not know your email address. This is how I set up the Artists Registry to protect you. Do not give it to them by replying.

Sender Name: Pat Bock
Sender E-Mail: pat_bock52@yahoo.com
Sender Phone: 077
How to contact sender: Email
Message: Hope this message finds you well ,I came across your web page
while searching for good artworks and I will like to buy some of these creative
artworks directly from you,which are

I will be happy to have these selected artworks in our new home.
What are their prices exclusive of shipping cost? My family are moving from our

The language structure used is the first indication. Generally the person is moving out of town, or out of the country. Generally they want their shipper to pick up the work. Sometimes they will try to pay you more than the amount you ask and want you to refund the difference in cash by Western Union. Often they have little information other than the title of the piece, and don't know if it is a painting, photograph or sculpture. Most of them use a Yahoo email address, or another free email service provider.

If you suspect an email of being fraudulent, looking up their name on the Internet is a good idea. This particular one started with one name and then quickly switched to another name after the initial fraud alert went out. However they didn't bother to change their phone number, 077, and left the last paragraph exactly the same.

I also received this email :( . I thought it strange that they didn't want shipping costs, even though they were going international.

Thanks for being here, I found this board when I ran a search on "eve_son100@yahoo.co.uk".
