Artist's Statement:
Health, suffering, beauty, mortality are intimately experienced by physicians and their patients, and I try to harness this energy and express it into my works of glass.
Glass evokes many feelings: how it plays with light, water, how it is warm yet cold, hard yet soft, smooth and safe yet sharp and dangerous, and I find that many times those same feelings are experienced by the viewer.
I have been working specifically in hot glass since 1996 and most of my work uses recycled glass from bottles, windows, doors, etc.
I am a member of the American Physician's Art Association. My work is shown in the Orlando Dowtown Arts District, in shows and galleries across the United States and is in private and corporate collections.
