A new series on oil rigs, especially, the Deepwater Horizon, will be posted shortly. Sources come from copious photographs of the British Petroleum explosion in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010.
Bailey's work was selected for the Florida International Magazine Showcase (FIM Showcase) of artists in the Annual Art & Design issue (Nov., p. 59) and is included in the FIM Florida Artists Hall of Fame (p. 72).
Greensleeves was acquired by Fred & Sannie Ziegler for their majestic home in the mountains of Virginia. The couple are distinguished collectors of contemporary art and Fred is a very sensitive and promising photographer.
"Katrina Series" is a new group of oil paintings inspired by the debris and alteration of plant life following major storms, hurricanes and tornadoes in tropical settings.The forms undergo a transformation in the artwork that could be described as a "new life."

NEWS: Bailey's painting, Jack in the Beanstalk, received a
special Award of Recognition, in the "9th Annual Abstraction International Online Juiried Art Exhibition." Juror, Larry Bradshaw, Prof. of Art, U. of Nebraska, made the announcement for the Upstream People Gallery (Omaha, Neb.). NEWS: Bailey will be inducted into the National Association of Women Artists, November 7, at the NAWA offices at 80 Fifth Ave., NYC. This prestigious art organization was established in 1889 and accepts members by juried invitation.
NEW SOLO EXHIBITION:
The artist will exhibit 16 oil paintings in a show entitled, "Art in Context," from July 9 - 13, at the Robb & Stucky Show Rooms (Gallery) in Ft. Myers, FL.
