We are a member supported network of artists, galleries, museums and art organizations, each helping the other in an online arts community. Our Web site provides a comprehensive directory, allowing easy access to a wealth of information involving the arts community. The size of our directory, the volume of artwork in portfolios and the activity on our message board all contribute to a strong impact on the Internet and in the arts community. Cross-linking is one of the strongest contributing factors to ranking well in search engines, and gaining additional access channels to our Web site Press releases about area art events are sent to us daily, from around the state. I distribute this information to a broader audience, on their behalf, through this newsletter.

Jeffrey W. Shonkwiler Today, the worldwide organization www.ArtistsRegistry.com promotes more than 2,000 member artists. Mr. Shonkwiler has served for several years as a board member of the Orlando Downtown Arts District board of directors and of the Maitland Art Center Associate board. He is a strategic partner with The Museum of Florida Art, OrlandoCultural.com and The Lake Eola Art and Living Expo. He is also Director of Gallery at Avalon Island, www.GalleryAtAvalonIsland.com. Artists Registry.com, Inc. has sponsored the Maitland Art Center’s pARTicipation, the Lake Eola Art and Living Expo, The Red Chair Affair and has provided student scholarships to the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art, Crealde School of Art and the Gadsden Art Center. |
Our History
Florida Artists Registry.com first took form in 1999. The Web site began with twelve founding member artists and a free listing of artists, galleries, organizations and museums from around the state. These twelve artists believed that we could help promote their artwork on the Internet, and Florida Artists Registry.com was born. Next we had to prove to you that this concept would work, and we have. Our membership has grown steadily. This past year has shown our greatest growth. With the addition of our arts message board and e-mail newsletter, interest in the Registry has grown phenomenally. We now enjoy a top ranking in all the major search engines. We have found that art Web sites from around the state are linking to our Web site Our focus is on bringing you attention. With the added attention our Web site brings to you, you should have increased sales and additional exhibition opportunities. Many artists have had success as a result of our effort, and have told us so, and sent us a 25% commission. We allow the artist to determine if their sale was led to them from us.
Where are we headed? With the great success of www.FloridaArtistsRegistry.com we have added all 50 states individually, and we have recently gone International with our worldwide organization www.ArtistsRegistry.com. The new site is now fully automated so that individual members can update their own information through a Web browser and upload new pictures of their artwork as often as they like. As soon as the membership form is completed, the listing information is added to the Web site

I?
I am Jeffrey W. Shonkwiler, Founder and Director of Artists Registry.com. I have a passion for art and a
gift for Internet marketing. My background is varied, extensive, and includes
a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture that I received in 1985 from Ohio State University. I also hope you will value our newsletter and our
Web site, and support my efforts in a more tangible way, through paid membership
and paid newsletter subscription. This will help me continue supporting
